Accounting Assistant

Description

The Accounting Assistant will play a key role in our growing accounting team ensuring proper accounting processes are maintained via daily/weekly/monthly tasks across our multi-dealership enterprise. The ideal candidate will partner with a diverse group of stakeholders to support accounting processes to centralize general accounting functions. The candidate will work closely and collaborate with key departments in supporting key processes and technologies across the family of dealerships. 

What Winning Looks Like:

• Data entry and maintenance of financial records, including invoices, receipts, and expense reports.
• Processing accounts payable and receivable, including vendor payments and customer invoices.
• Assisting with the preparation of financial reports, such as balance sheets and income statements.
• Assist the Controller in implementing financial discipline, expense control and optimization 
• Assisting with audits and tax preparation.
• Filing and organizing financial documents.
• Other accounting-related tasks as assigned.

Skills Needed to Win:

• Demonstrates a high “HQ” (Hospitality Quotient) consisting of kindness & optimism, intellectual curiosity, work ethic, empathy, self-awareness, and integrity. 
• Update - Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance a plus.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices (Automotive industry GAAP knowledge a plus)
• Proficiency in using accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero).
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Demonstrated success working in team environment 
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Computer, email and internet proficiency
