About the role

Position Purpose: The Sr. National Business Development Specialist Stretch Film is responsible for the sales of all types of stretch film across the assigned geography. Secondarily, opportunities for carton closure tapes and stretch film should be pursued with these film end users enhancing the IPG bundle and creating additional revenue and supplier value. You will call directly on end users, identify opportunities, qualify IPG product and secure the business. The National Business Development Specialist must have the ability to negotiate and manage large corporate accounts and effectively communicate the sales process to the necessary internal and external teams.

Principle Accountabilities

  1. Serve as the product line sales expert for all IPG Stretch Films to the target market. Demonstrate full knowledge of the market, applications, product, product advantages, and IPG value proposition.
  2. Find and acquire new accounts for IPG Stretch Films.
  3. Maximize the bottom-line profitability of Stretch films at assigned accounts across North America.
  4. Conduct product trails and evaluations.
  5. Be able to "data mine" inside a variety of inter-company databases.
  6. Ability to coordinate new business programs across multiple product lines and end user locations in North America.
  7. Provide sales forecasts to management and Planning Team to insure high service levels for our valued customers.
  8. Assist in the creation and ongoing refinement of product line offering, marketing, pricing, go to market strategy and sales execution.
  9. Report on competitive products, performance, pricing, promotions, opportunities and threats to the business and the market.
  10. Related tasks as requested by supervisor.

Essential Skills and Experience

  • High School diploma or equivalent required, 4-year degree preferred.
  • Minimum 15 years of Industry experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to close business by directly call on end users.
  • Strong customer orientation
  • Proven ability to work individually and in teams.
  • Highly organized and able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Effective time management skills, including ability to manage numerous projects and people in a professional manner.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Computer literacy in Word, Excel, Power Point, E-mail, AS400 and COGNOSA forward thinker who can see and implement pathways to process improvement.
  • Willing to travel up to 60% of the time in the United States and Canada
  • Commitment to CRM and sales tracking tools.
