The role:
In our lead up to IPO, Armis is looking to add an experienced Technical Accountant to the team!
In this role you will be responsible for all aspects of technical accounting and external financial reporting. This includes researching and documenting the application of accounting standards and complex accounting transactions. You will also document Finance policies and procedures, assist in the annual audit and quarterly reviews, create financial statements and be involved in the SEC reporting and public company compliance (including SOX).
What you will do…
- Identify, research, and document the Company's technical accounting transactions; work proactively with external auditors to drive timely closure of technical accounting matters
- Serve as a subject matter expert on US GAAP and GAAP reporting requirements
- Conduct technical accounting research on complex transactions and new accounting pronouncements
- Evaluate business transactions for proper U.S. GAAP accounting treatment, including accounting and disclosure recommendations and prepare technical memorandums for significant and/or non-routine transactions
- Document all Finance policies, cycles (e.g. PTP, RTR, OTC), and control environment as neededManage preparation and coordination of monthly/quarterly/annual internal and external reporting packages
- Help manage financial statement audit and coordinate with external audit teams
- Assist with financial due diligence and integration of M&A transactions as needed
- Review the accounting, monthly journal entries and reconciliations for stock-based compensation, goodwill, investments, and other non-routine transactions
- Assist with month-end close and financial statement review
- Manage SEC reporting process and all public company compliance (includingSOX)
- Actively participate in audit and IPO readiness initiatives
- Review and provide feedback relating to international statutory financial filings
- Ad hoc projects, analysis and reporting as required by management
What we expect…
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field
- CPA preferred
- Excellent management skills and ability to build support across functions
- 6-8 years of consecutive working experience with Big4 ideal
- Thorough knowledge of U.S. GAAP, strong technical writing skills and experience in the implementation and handling of complex U.S. GAAP accounting matters with proven ability to research and clearly articulate and document complex technical accounting issues
