Senior Full Stack Engineer

Position Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Full Stack Engineer to join our innovative and fast-paced engineering team. This is a key role in the design, development, testing, and deployment of robust, scalable web applications that directly impact the healthcare industry. You’ll work across the entire technology stack—from developing rich, intuitive front-end interfaces with React and TypeScript, to building and managing reliable back-end systems using SQL Server and Postgres.

Our ideal candidate is passionate about building high-quality software and seamless user experiences, with a strong track record of working on complex integrations, particularly in the healthcare domain using standards like FHIR.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain scalable web applications using React, TypeScript, SQL Server, and Postgres.
• Build and maintain reusable, efficient, and reliable front-end and back-end code.
• Develop and manage APIs and system integrations with a focus on healthcare standards like FHIR.
• Work with containerized applications in a Kubernetes environment.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, data engineers, and stakeholders to deliver high-impact features.
• Optimize applications for speed, scalability, and security.
• Design and manage relational database schemas and complex queries.
• Ensure data security and privacy compliance, especially HIPAA.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across the stack.
• Contribute to code reviews, technical documentation, and internal knowledge sharing.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices within the team.
• Participate in on-call rotations for critical application support.
• Evaluate and recommend tools and technologies that improve development efficiency.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Proven experience in full-stack development with a strong portfolio of web applications.
• Expert-level skills in React and TypeScript for front-end development.
• Proficiency in SQL and experience with SQL Server and Postgres.
• Strong background in building and consuming RESTful APIs.
• Deep understanding of software development best practices and design patterns.
• Experience with Git and version control workflows.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Deep understanding of security best practices, especially related to HIPAA compliance.
• Comfortable working independently in a fully remote, fast-paced environment.
• Flexibility to work extended hours, weekends, or holidays when necessary.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field OR 4–6 years of practical experience.
• 5+ years of professional experience in full-stack software development.
• Experience delivering complex software projects from architecture through deployment.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications

• Direct experience in the Healthcare industry.
• Experience working with FHIR, HL7, or other healthcare data standards.
• Experience with AWS (e.g., S3, RDS, Lambda).
• Proficiency with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Experience with testing frameworks for both front-end and back-end systems.
