About the role

General Profile:  Has developed proficiency in a range of processes or procedures through job-related training and considerable on-the-job experience. Completes a variety of atypical assignments, as needed. Works within defined processes and procedures or methodologies and may help determine the appropriate approach for new assignments. Completes work with a limited degree of supervision. Likely to act as an informal resource for colleagues with less experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Able to create and follow complex opto-mechanical procedures to assemble, align and test imaging optics, projection lens, lasers and associated electronics.
  • Background working with autocollimators, LVDT leveling probes, microscope objective measurements, power meters, X,Y,Z,  rotary and tip/tilt stages, and optical metrology instruments.
  • Experience with aligning pinhole targets, beam splitters, illumination sources, kaleido assemblies, prisms, mirrors and DMD assemblies.
  • Hands-on operation with Piezo controllers, Autofocus systems, and PCBs.
  • Read schematics, wiring diagrams, engineering specifications, parts and wire lists, written and/or verbal instructions to build, repair and/or test opto-mechanical, electrical, pneumatic assemblies, subassemblies and components.
  • Performs a wide variety of electro-mechanical and laser/optical assembly operations, alignments and troubleshooting. Identifies and corrects errors.
  • Observes all safety standards.  Maintains a secure, safe, clean and healthy work environment.  Attends required health and safety training and follows safety and security policies, procedures and practices.  Promptly reports accidents, injuries, safety hazards, or emergencies to supervisor or Safety dept.  Follows laser standard operating procedures, uses protective equipment when required, and uses equipment and materials properly.  Actively strives to prevent accidents and injuries.
  • Utilizes test fixtures, laser/optical alignment equipment, electronic measurement equipment, to test assemblies, subassemblies and components
  • Checks own work for conformance to specifications.  
  • Good working knowledge of job assignments.  Details finished work.  Receives parts and performs audits to ensure all necessary parts are available to perform build, test and repair.  Inspects parts for defects.  Troubleshoots and improves processes. Use the simulation analysis software of Laser, Cameras and Optical module.
  • Familiar with clean room protocol

U.S. Salary Range:

$104,000.00 - $143,000.00

The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as participation in a bonus and a stock award program, as applicable.

For all sales roles, the posted salary range is the Target Total Cash (TTC) range for the role, which is the sum of base salary and target bonus amount at 100% goal achievement.
