Industrial Printer Operator (Machine Operator)

Description

Position Summary

Operate large industrial vinyl printers to meet quality standards and deadlines.  

Essential Job Functions and Tasks - These essential functions include, but are not limited to, the following. Additional essential functions may be identified and included by the hiring department.

• Prepares materials before loading into the printer. Purges ink and restores to proper levels before printing. Prioritizes for seamers to finalize orders.
• Maintain the Lindmark Ink standard of printing within 24 hours of order approval. 
• Choose correct vinyl based on order to load into printers. 
• Ensures printing is running smoothly. Pay attention to print heads to determine if purging is needed.
• Performs maintenance on printers as needed.
• Assist with unloading trucks and moving vinyl rolls, as needed.
• Meet or exceed Lindmark Ink production goals quarterly according to Lindmark Ink’s goals.
• Maintains the work area daily by sweeping floor, emptying trash, storing tools/equipment, and replenishing supplies.
• Conducts basic troubleshooting, maintenance and cleanliness of production equipment. Communicate machine downtime to the General Manager immediately and perform lock out/tag out procedures as required. 
• Maintains focus on safety by utilizing safety equipment. Reports any safety hazards or incidents immediately to the General Manager.
• Performs similar or related duties as required or assigned.

Work Environment

This work environment is a warehouse setting with moderate noise.

Requirements

High school diploma (or equivalent) is required.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Ability to perform physical work for up to 8 hours a day, plus overtime when necessary.
• Ability to use, or willing to learn to use, heat welder, grommet machine, sewing machine, saws-all, and dolly. 
• Ability to drive a forklift or become Forklift Certification
• Attention to quality details
• High awareness of safety
• Microsoft Office and Internet Browser experience 
• Flexibility to learn and perform other duties within the warehouse or print shop.
