Job Description

As a Security Officer - Utilities Patrol in Harrison, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a leading utilities location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas, maintaining a welcoming and secure environment for everyone onsite. By conducting routine patrols and remaining highly visible, you help to deter security-related incidents and respond promptly to any concerns. You will also deliver exceptional customer service, communicate clearly with staff and visitors, and utilize technology to support your duties. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and when appropriate, participate in emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, assisting with resolution as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and observe for irregularities.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to help to identify potential security-related concerns or violations.
  • Document observations, incidents, and activities in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific protocols.
  • Communicate professionally with staff, visitors, and/or contractors to provide assistance and relay important information.
  • Remain alert and attentive while patrolling utility-related locations, adapting to varying environments and conditions as required by the site.
  • Support access control procedures by verifying credentials and observing access points as directed by client policies.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
