This position is responsible for operation of Café outlet. Responsibilities include developing and maintaining high performing team; achieving financial and company objectives; maintaining facilities and high standards of cleanliness.
Our ideal candidate:
• Minimum of (3) years Food and Beverage Supervisory experience is required.
• Previous restaurant/ hospitality experience is required.
• Excellent interpersonal, customer service, leadership, communication, team-building and problem-solving skills are required.
• Demonstrated ability in maintaining consistent, high quality guest service levels.
• Must have a good understanding of how the job responsibilities relate to other areas of the Food and Beverage operation, such as food preparation back-of-the-house service, and food/beverage cost control.
• Must be able to remain calm and speak professionally when resolving customer complaints and be willing to work any shift, any day, and long hours when necessary.
• Must present a well-groomed appearance.
About the role:
• Ensure consistent, high-quality service standards are maintained throughout Cafe outlet.
• Establish training programs that ensure a high-quality guest experience.
• Provide adequate training and tools for employees so they may effectively perform necessary job duties.
• Ensure that all areas are kept clean and in proper condition to provide a safe working environment for employees.
• Responsible for the proper scheduling of employees to ensure a high level of guest service while maintaining control of labor costs.
• Supervise employees, including maintaining proper employee/employer relations, recognition, evaluating performance and administering discipline.
• Must be able to meet the attendance guidelines of the job and adheres to departmental and company policies.
• Spends the time interviewing, training, and selecting employees.
• Conducts Performance Reviews
• Makes or recommends wage increases and promotions.
• Provides for safety and security.
• Handles employees' complaints or grievances.
• Recommends disciplinary action or disciplines employees.
• Monitors legal compliance with federal, state, and gaming laws.
A few more things:
• Must be able to work independently.
• Must be able to respond calmly and make rational decisions when handling guest and employee conflicts.
• Must be able to perform mathematical computations quickly and accurately.
• Must be able to conduct conversations with customers and employees and speak distinctly and persuasively to others.
• Must have the ability to create written and financial reports.
• Must be able to maneuver in and around restaurants and casino/hotel areas.
• Must be able to work any shift and able to work up to 12 hours at a time when required.
