What you’ll be doing:

  • System/Architecture level safety case and analysis for in-house silicon development (automotive grade).

  • Support FUSA assessment of silicon safety case with 3rd party assessor.

  • Work with design, systems, and performance engineers to implement, verify, and validate safety requirements

  • Work cross-functionally to define data collection strategies that satisfy qualitative and quantitative analysis

  • Build technical safety concepts and define fault handling mechanisms for semiconductor (or other system level) components.  

  • Identification, planning, organization, tracking, and documentation of all necessary Functional Safety activities within the project

What you must have:

  • The candidate should have a strong experience in systems engineering and requirements driven developments.

  • Demonstrated experience and execution of responsibilities related to System Safety, Systems Engineering, and Silicon Development for a Safety Critical product or a component. 

  • Demonstrated experience with V&V activities for a safety critical system/component

  • Good project management and organization skills

  • Good verbal and written communication skills

  • Be capable of presenting technical information confidently to stakeholders

  • Be a self-starter and able to execute designated tasks accurately and within timing and budget constraints

  • Have well-developed analytical skills – rigorous but pragmatic, being able to justify decisions with solid rationale

  • Have good interpersonal skills

Bonus Points!

  • Previous hands-on experience with implementing part 11 of ISO 26262

  • Previous experience Semiconductor design and verification methods. 

  • Functional Safety task execution, including requirements development, analysis, implementation and validation, ISO 26262

  • Analysis of Safety of the Intended Functionality, ISO 21488

  • Preparing safety cases (including safety arguments)

The salary range for this position is $161,300 - $171,000. Compensation will vary depending on location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. You may also be offered a bonus, restricted stock units, and benefits. These ranges are subject to change.
