Job Description

As a Security Officer Financial Facility Patrol in Charlotte, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in maintaining a secure environment within financial institution locations. Your primary responsibilities will include conducting routine patrols throughout the premises, staying visible to help deter potential security-related incidents, and responding promptly to any situations that arise. You will interact regularly with employees and visitors, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication while supporting access control measures. What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies and/or responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the financial institution and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential issues.
• Observe and report any suspicious behavior, hazards, or irregularities encountered during patrols to the appropriate personnel.
• Maintain a visible presence throughout the location to help to deter unauthorized activity and provide reassurance to employees and visitors.
• Assist with access control and monitor entry and exit points to help to deter unauthorized access within the financial institution.
• Collaborate with Allied Universal management and client representatives to address security-related concerns and provide updates as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
• Must provide proof of high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
