Summary of Position

The Medical Assistant works to ensure the highest quality virtual care experience for our members and clinical team.  In conjunction with other clinicians, the Medical Assistant contributes to products and services that relate to the delivery of efficient virtual care to Teladoc Health members.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Administrative Duties

  • Reviewing intake records for completeness
  • Transfer information to Electronic Health Record (EHR)
  • Scheduling appointments
  • Assessing video readiness
  • Communication with other health care team members
  • Communication with members
  • Maintain health information in compliance with corporate and federal regulations
  • Others duties as assigned

Clinical Duties

  • Taking full history including medications
  • Documenting biometric screenings
  • Identify preventative measures needed
  • EHR chart preparation prior to visit
  • Assist nursing staff in preparing care plans
  • Other duties as assigned

The time spent on each responsibility reflects an estimate and is subject to change dependent on business needs.

Qualifications Expected for Position

  • High school diploma required, 2+ years of college preferred
  • 2+ years Medical Assistant Experience
  • LPN/LVN, Nursing Student training helpful
  • Customer service experience required
  • EHR experience preferred
  • Video conferencing experience preferred
  • Proficient computer skills, specifically with Microsoft software
  • Strong time management skills
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple, competing priorities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a high performing team
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced work environment in a growing company

Required license or credential needed to perform job: Active Medical Assistant Certification

The above qualifications, knowledge, experience, and/or background are expected but not required for this role.

The base salary range for this position is $20 - 22/hourlyIn addition to a base salary, this position is eligible for a performance bonus and benefits (subject to eligibility requirements) listed here: Teladoc Health Benefits 2026. Total compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to, type of position, location, education level, work experience, and certifications. This information is applicable for all full-time positions.

During your first year of service, you will accrue 5.84 hours of PTO for each bi-weekly pay period. In addition, you will receive 80 hours of Paid Sick, Safe, and Caregiver Leave annually. This applies to full-time positions only. If you are applying for a part-time role, your recruiter can provide additional details.
