DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION

Our Cardiology and Medical-Surgical unit (4SE) is a 28 tele bed unit that provides care for cardiology and cardiac post-op patients, post electrophysiology and interventional radiology procedure patients, and med-surg/telemetry patients. The unit’s priority is post-cardiac procedure patients, which includes femoral sheath monitoring and pulls and IV drug infusions.  The unit cares for post-op patients as space allows and treats a diverse medical-surgical patient population, offering excellent learning opportunities.

POSITION HIGHLIGHTS

• Provide long and short-term care to cardiac patients
• Work in a dynamic team environment

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide acute patient care
• Triage patient care priorities in collaboration with team members
• Follow evidence-based nursing practices
• Monitor and administer medications and IVs

REQUIREMENTS

• One year current/recent med-surg or cardiac nursing experience
• Licensed to work as an RN in the State of Washington
