Summary

DSV is seeking a Senior Project Manager to oversee and manage logistics and transportation projects for our clients. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the successful execution of projects from start to finish, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the satisfaction of the client. The Senior Project Manager will also be responsible for managing a team of project managers and ensuring they have the support and resources they need to be successful.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

• Develop and implement project plans, including scope, timeline, and budget
• Monitor project progress and make adjustments as necessary to ensure project goals are met
• Communicate project updates and status reports to stakeholders, including clients, senior management, and project team members
• Manage project risks and issues, and develop contingency plans as necessary
• Manage project resources, including staff, equipment, and materials, to ensure they are available when needed
• Oversee project quality assurance and ensure deliverables meet the client's expectations
• Provide leadership and guidance to project managers and other team members
• Collaborate with other departments within the organization to ensure projects are completed smoothly and efficiently

 

Educational background / Work experience

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field. A Master's degree in a related field is preferred.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in project management in the transportation and logistics industry.
• Proven track record of managing complex logistics and transportation projects, from conception to completion.
• Experience in managing a team of project managers.
