NewsNation Senior Producer / On Air Talent (New York)

NewsNation is looking for a senior producer/on-air talent who can contribute to the network’s broadcast and digital platforms. This position is ideal for a savvy and experienced producer and talent who is comfortable fulfilling a hybrid role. The producer/talent contributes original and enterprise reporting, pitches and develops broadcast segments, as well as digital franchises.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Pitch and develop broadcast segments in conjunction with show teams

• Contributes text stories and video to the Station’s website and social media platforms

• Appears on air for broadcast segments that he/she has coordinated

• Contributes as both producer/talent to original digital shows and series

• Delivers on NewsNation’s promise: Unbiased news serving all Americans

• Perform other duties as assigned by news management

Requirements & Skills:

• Must have significant experience producing for digital in national newsroom or top market

• Strong news judgement

• Quick decision maker and creative thinker

•  Bachelor’s degree in journalism, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience

• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written

• Excellent broadcast writing skills

• Superior copy-editing skills are also a must.

• Must also be capable of interacting positively and productively with other employees all while understanding you are leading by example.

• Ability to adapt to change, meet deadlines, prioritize assignments and handle multiple tasks simultaneously

• Proficiency with ENPS, BitCentral, Latakoo

• Flexibility to work different shifts

Salary Range: $100,000 - $125,000
