Station Manager (Transport & Warehouse Manager)

The Station Manager is responsible for overseeing the effective provision of logistics solutions to Biocair’s customers and for leading the operational management and control of the supplier network to ensure optimal performance and adherence to standards. This involves strategic oversight of many of Biocair’s departments, including the Transportation, Warehouse, Import, and Export Teams at the local level, in addition to the regular maintenance and upkeep of the physical Biocair facility.
The role will oversee several Biocair Teams, managing operational performance using business metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess, monitor, and improve various aspects of the customer logistics function. The Station Manager will mentor Team Managers, set local strategic goals, lead fleet optimization efforts, and design effective Corrective and Preventative Actions (CAPAs) and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance overall team efficiency.
The Station Manager will also act as the liaison between local operations and Leadership Team, reporting Business Intelligence insights and Operational Intelligence analyzed by Team Managers to support regional Business Development and Process Improvement. In this capacity, the Station Manager will also advocate for local operations’ needs and challenges.

In addition, you will demonstrate these key competencies:
- Previous experience successfully leading a mid-size team spread across multiple departments.
- A high level of expertise in cold chain packaging and logistics.
- Demonstrable resource planning and scheduling experience.
- Experience working with Dangerous Goods / Hazardous Materials, IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations (DGR) Certification and/or ADR Certification, or 49 CFR Trained.
- A good knowledge of Quality Management Systems (QMS).

Please note that this is a full time role, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 09:00 to 17:00 and offered as fully onsite at our San Francisco office (CA 94066).
