Qualifications:
Required: 

  • Typically has the education associated with a bachelor's degree and a minimum of 5-7 years of experience providing executive-level administrative support, preferably in a higher education or non-profit setting. 
  • Exceptional organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills. 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), Google Suite (Gmail, Drive, Google Calendar, etc.), and AI tools (Google Gemini, ChatGPT, etc.).   
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.   
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team and to help direct a team of student workers.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.   
  • Ability to anticipate the needs of the President and the leadership team, proactively addressing potential issues and providing necessary support.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interact effectively with diverse stakeholders. 
  • Flexibility and adaptability, including a willingness to undertake both mundane and high-profile tasks with enthusiasm and energy. 
  • A demonstrated ability to attend carefully to both grammatical and factual details. 
  • Ability to take initiative, work independently, and self-sufficiently gather facts and information for a variety of offices and sources. 
  • Expected to be available evenings and weekends as needed.

Preferred: 

  • Progressive experience in supporting executive-level positions. 
  • Experience at, or extensive familiarity with, institutions of higher education strongly preferred.
