As a Staff Brand Designer, Web on our Brand & Web Design Team, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping and scaling Webflow’s brand. You’ll create thoughtful, high-quality web experiences that inspire and engage our audience while maintaining consistency and accessibility across all digital touchpoints. In this role, you will push the boundaries of web design, evolving our design system, and mentoring others to elevate the craft across the team..

About the Role

  • The cash compensation for this role is tailored to align with the cost of labor in different geographic markets. We've structured the base pay ranges for this role into zones for our geographic markets, and the specific base pay within the range will be determined by the candidate’s geographic location, job-related experience, knowledge, qualifications, and skills.

    • United States  (all figures cited below are in USD and pertain to workers in the United States)

      • Zone A: $138,000 - $191,000
      • Zone B: 129,500 - $179,000
      • Zone C: $121,000 - $167,000

This role is also eligible to participate in Webflow's company-wide bonus program. Target amounts are a percentage of base salary and vary by career level. Payouts are based on company performance against established financial and operational goals.

As a Staff Brand Designer, Web you’ll:

Responsibilities

  • Identify business opportunities and partner with cross-functional teams to define strategy.
  • Communicate ideas and present at all levels of the organization, reinforcing design’s vision and business objectives.
  • Maintain and improve Webflow’s design system and documentation.
  • Build thoughtful, consistent web experiences that prioritize accessibility and balance quality with speed.
  • Partner with other leaders to define team culture, stay positive amid challenges, and support team members.
  • Challenge and evolve design guidelines and systems to create cohesive styles and patterns.
  • Build systems within Webflow to ensure UI quality across the web team.
  • Take intentional risks, leveraging past experiments and data to drive innovative solutions.
  • Design iteratively based on user insights and feedback, adapting to both defined and ambiguous requirements.
  • Leverage Webflow’s full capabilities, sometimes incorporating code to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Mentor team members in Webflow best practices and advocate for its value both internally and externally.
  • Combine visual design, UI/UX expertise, and low-code knowledge to create aspirational web experiences that drive business outcomes.

About you:

Requirements/qualifications:

  • 7+ years of relevant experience.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to influence and present at all levels of an organization.
  • Proven understanding of design fundamentals and principles to create engaging visual experiences.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive strategic projects and business goals.
  • Proficiency with low-code tools, HTML, CSS, and Javascript.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret data to inform design decisions.
  • Expertise in Webflow, including the ability to build accessible, interactive web experiences.
  • Strong understanding of accessibility best practices and ability to advocate for inclusive design.
  • Ability to develop scalable solutions that address common challenges related to craft, communication, or team efficiency.
  • Experience mentoring designers and helping them grow their skills.
