Job Description
As a leader of the General Ledger team, you will play a critical role in driving strategic financial decisions, optimizing process, and maintaining strong financial controls.
- Manage the Month-End close process of 10+ affiliated entities.
- Lead all aspects of month-end G/L close process.
- Manage month-end close checklist and internal controls surrounding tasks performed to ensure accuracy and completion.
- Review workbook, journal entries, and reconciliation prepared by staff accountants.
- Work with AR and AP team leader on related accounting treatments.
- Develop monthly review package of each entity for controller review.
- Streamline the quarter-end and year-end consolidation procedures of dozens investment entities with non-controlling interest.
- Oversee multiple financial audits of US and foreign entities.
- Prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment with a strong orientation toward project leadership and meeting deadlines.
- Review deliverables and financial statements that prepared by staff accountants.
- Support staff accounts on their standalone financial audit.
- Coordinate consolidated financial audit and communicate effectively with external auditors.
- A Leader of GL team
- Actively coach and develop staff accountants through setting clear goals, provide guidance and feedback.
- Promote Lean Accounting principles within the department with the focus on continuous improvement through lean processes and technology utilization.
- Organize tasks including surveys, business licenses, corporate filing, etc.
- Assign resources for ad hoc projects and analysis for various business needs.
- An expert in accounting
- Perform technical research on accounting treatment and procedures and write accounting memos for documentation.
- Evaluating existing accounting procedures and controls and establish and implement new controls or revised controls.
- Collaborate closely with FP&A team and providing accounting support in financial reporting and planning.
Qualifications
- Proven experience (6+ years) in accounting roles with at least 2+ years in a managerial position with more than 3 direct reports. Public accounting or public traded company experience required.
- CPA required.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business required.
- NetSuite experience is a plus.
- Strong understanding of US GAAP, general accounting processes and internal controls, and financial reporting.
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical, problem solving and strategic planning skills.
- Manage time effectively between a variety of assignments and projects.
- Strong oral and written interpersonal skills in presenting and communicating financial reports and insights.
- Ability to analyze financial data with logic steps and to assess professional judgement.
- Strong leadership skills and experience managing a team.
- Considered highly skilled and proficient in discipline.

The pay range for this position is $120,000-$140,000/year. However, base pay will be determined on an individual basis considering various factors, including location, qualifications, skills, and experience. The total compensation package includes eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus and a full range of health and financial benefit offerings, which will be provided in conjunction with an offer of employment.
