The Department of Transportation and Public Facilities (DOT&PF) Program Management and Administration is looking for a Stock and Parts Services 1 to help us Keep Alaska Moving!


What you will be doing:

This position is responsible for unloading, receiving, handling, storing, retrieving, issuing and delivering supplies, materials and equipment and transporting these items to and from State facilities and vessels.

Under the supervision of the lead warehouse position, or other delegated position, this position is responsible for unloading, receiving, handling, storing, retrieving, issuing and delivering supplies, materials and equipment at the AMHS Juneau warehouse and transporting these items to and from shoreside facilities to the vessels of the AMHS. Assist in preparing and placing routine orders through established supply systems with limited procurement authority. 

Includes physically receiving, signing, counting, checking, unloading, loading, storing, stocking, staging, labeling, marking, issuing, distributing, packaging, expediting, and delivering of freight, inventory stock items, and supplies. Pick up, and ship supplies from various locations which, would include local stores, vendors, gold streaks, air freight, trucking companies, post office, AMHS Headquarters, vessels and Auke Bay Ferry Terminal. Transport clean and soiled laundry between the Prison Industries Laundry Facility and Auke Bay Ferry Terminal. This position is responsible for handling surplus property and lost and found property. Includes pick up, load, unload, transport, warehouse, package count, and notify Lead warehouse position of lost and found and surplus items arrival. Items are stored in Juneau Warehouse for 60 days. On notification from the Property Officer this position arranges and delivers items to the State Surplus Property Warehouse. Assist in the unloading, loading, staging, storing, and warehousing of these items. When surplus approval is received, this position assists others to locate and tag surplus items.

This position also performs some accounting, filing, research, and computer duties. Photocopy, organize, maintain, and file, records and reports for quick access and research. Participate and assist in the Annual Physical Inventory of over 450 individual inventory stock items, as well as numerous spot check inventories. Other duties as assigned, delegated, required, or necessary.
