Senior, Software Engineer

Position Summary...

It’s exciting time to join our Walmart journey. We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer for a key position on Walmart’s continued initiative for Last Mile Delivery. Last Mile Delivery is the platform that powers Walmart’s Grocery and Same Day Delivery propositions. Last Mile Delivery is expected to grow multiple times over in the next few years. In this role, you will develop highly scalable services to process millions of requests per day and solve complex software engineering problems by leveraging state-of-the-art technology.

What you'll do...

Our Ideal Candidate will have the following Qualifications:

• Over 8 years of experience in designing and developing large-scale, distributed systems

• Proficiency in Java and Spring Boot

• Strong background in building scalable applications using Microservices architecture

• Hands-on experience with both SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., Azure Cosmos, MySQL, Oracle, Cassandra, etc.)

• Expertise in internet-scale distributed technologies (e.g., ElasticSearch, Solr, MemCache, and similar tools)

• Experience working with distributed event streaming platforms (e.g., Kafka, Kinesis, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working on Azure Cloud

What you’ll do…

• Develop software for our Last Mile Delivery Backend Systems

• Design and implement pipelines to process real time delivery data

• Collaborate with cross team and cross functional stakeholders
