As an experienced engineer at DataStax, you will tap your experience to seek out and build complex, secure, scalable and distributed systems.
What you will do:
Align security best practices and implementations with corporate standards, participate in detailed security reviews with enterprise security leadership.
Own and remediate any security best practices, including accountability for security related incidents and resolutions.
Work directly on complex application/technical problem identification and resolution, including responding to off-shift and weekend support calls.
Work independently on complex systems or infrastructure components that may be used by one or more applications or systems.
Work fluidly and collaboratively with other technical domain experts on a dynamic set of projects.
Develop and own reliability and security code that touches all levels of the stack - UI, backend to frontend, microservices - from monitoring to triaging across all phases of the product (from design to development production and beyond).
Deliver security initiative business review reports and programmatic situational awareness (Sit Rep) reports as needed
Mature the tools, metrics and dashboards required to build security awareness and security campaign directions
Own the remediation best practices and creation of runbooks for service owners
Work with modern technologies and frameworks such as React, Node.js, Java, Docker, and Kubernetes
Collaborate cross functionally to set up alerts, dashboards to collect metrics
Your experience should include:
Solid experience working in development and security operations OR a combination of relevant experience
Demonstrated Security and Development Operational expertise in Microservice architecture (Kubernetes), Container security (Docker and Runtime), REST API, Terraform
Ability to instrument and manage security of the assets using the right set of tools.
Demonstrated ability to diving into Cloud Platform / Cloud Security tooling; AWS, Azure, Google services
Strong coding skills with either Python, Go or Java,
Familiarity with bug tracking tools, version control tools, build automation tools and test automation tools.
Experience in SDLC having contributed at each step: Plan, Track, Code, Build, Test, Deploy and Monitor.
