Registered Nurse

Pay Scale Annually: $72,992 to $82,992 (Based on experience)
Sign on bonus of $5,000 (paid quarterly over 18 months)
The Registered Nurse provides nursing care to students using a systematic approach to assess, intervene, and document outcomes. Responsible for ensuring high-quality nursing care, the nurse collaborates with ancillary staff, nursing colleagues, and student-team members to uphold professional standards. All nursing functions are performed in accordance with school policy, the school mission, and State regulations.
Schedule:
Monday, Wednesday and Friday 7:30am-3:30pm and either Sunday or Saturday 7:30am-3:30pm

Responsibilities
- Coordinate care for students with chronic health conditions, including diabetes, life-threatening allergies, seizure disorders, and other medical needs.
Develop and maintain individualized care plans and provide health education to students, staff, and families.
Respond to emergencies and provide first aid or life-saving interventions as needed.
Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and nursing protocols.
Conduct health assessments, monitor vital signs, and document student conditions and nursing interventions.
Maintain communication with families, social workers, physicians, dentists, and specialists; schedule routine and follow-up medical appointments.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary treatment teams and participate in case reviews, health committees, and staff meetings.
Assist in psychiatric medication reviews, gather data for evaluations, and provide nutrition counseling.
Manage medication and supply inventory, conduct audits, and maintain accurate records.
Train and orient new staff and provide ongoing education on health procedures, infection control, and chronic conditions.
Perform general office duties, participate in quality improvement activities, and uphold professional nursing standards.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) by the Massachusetts Board of Nursing
BLS Certification preferred
- Valid Driver’s License with a good driving record
