Senior Channel Editor, Phones - Tom's Guide

Tom’s Guide is looking for a Senior Channel Editor, Phones to take charge of our comprehensive smartphone coverage. The Channel Editor will write and edit reviews of key products, including flagship phones, while regularly updating and maintaining a range of critical buying guides to give our audience the best recommendations possible.

What you'll be doing…

As well as overseeing our smartphone coverage, you’ll also be responsible for writing features, analysis pieces and head-to head phone comparisons that highlight the expertise of Tom’s Guide in this area. Responsibilities also include staying on top of news within the category, and maintaining relationships with key product vendors.

In addition, you’ll be maintaining key buying guides, including best phones and best Android phones, and tracking the performance of Tom’s Guide’s phone channel, working with your editor to respond to traffic trends.

Experience that will put you ahead of the curve…

• Background at an online media outlet, as well as experience covering phones
• Experience managing freelancers and monthly budgets
• Knowledge and experience in SEO trends and analyzing traffic
• Strong industry contacts
• Proven ability to promote stories via cross-linking and social media

Salary range for this role is $64,000 - $80,000.

This is a position covered under a collective bargaining agreement between Future US, Inc. and the Writers Guild of America East.
