<p>We are currently seeking a skilled Validation Engineer to join our team in Galway for a permanent position focusing on new product introduction. <br/>

By Joining Celestica Galway (Ireland) as a Validation Engineer you will have the opportunity to work on delivering a manufacturing line from development stage to full scale production ramp in a dynamic, fast moving environment. You will become responsible for dealing with the three major phases of Quality Management, Quality Planning/Prevention &Corrective Action.</p>
<h2>Detailed Description</h2>
<p>Your next challenge will be…</p>
<p>To integrate a new product introduction into the Celestica quality management system by establishing process/procedure definitions that ensure and maintain a continuous flow of high quality products to our customer. This position will be responsible for supporting a customer’s new product launch and will liaise with Production, Engineering, Supply Chain and Customer contracts reporting into our Quality Manager. </p>
<p>Your day to day activities will include the following…</p>
<p><br/>
• Provide expert technical direction/input to qualification activities in conjunction with Design, Engineering and extended QA teams.<br/>
• Author and support (input and critical review) of qualification/validation protocols/reports.<br/>
• Lead the team to handle all quality excursions independently, and take effective actions on time.<br/>
• Oversee the product ramp; material quality from NPI to mass production.<br/>
• Develop the master validation plan for respective area (material/process/product).<br/>
• Monitor and report KPIs for internal (factory) and external (customer).<br/>
• Drive continuous improvement to benefit customer, CLS and supplier.<br/>
• Develop and maintain internal quality system, procedures, work instructions and standards.<br/>
• Coach / mentor staff members on quality topics to improve quality knowledge.<br/>
• Support the team and the organisational priorities in the quality deployment strategy.<br/>
• Work with process/quality Engineering to address validation programs.<br/>
• Take technical ownership for PFMEA’s in conjunction with process engineering<br/>
• Be a leader in ISO standards within your group, be constantly aware of best industry practices.</p>

<h2>Knowledge/Skills/Competencies</h2>
<p>What do we expect from you?</p>

• Strong knowledge of quality tools, ISO standards and processes<br/>
• A thorough working knowledge of Risk Management techniques<br/>
• Knowledge in the interpretation of Product drawings and CTQ identification<br/>
• Strong knowledge of product and manufacturing processes and materials properties<br/>
• Knowledge of quality tools such as FMEA, PMP, SPC, 8D methodology, etc<br/>
• Knowledge of Six sigma and Lean Kaizen<br/>
• An ability to effectively communicate with a wide variety of internal and external customers<br/>
• Knowledge of Manufacturing industry or another highly regulated environment</p>
<h2>Typical Experience</h2>
