Why us, why now?
The Leadership Development Manager is is responsible for the overall strategy, development, and implementation of a suite of leadership programs and offerings in the AAMC leadership development portfolio, and leads the research, scoping and proposal process for new programs and offerings. This position collaborates with team members and other units to establish business development strategies, marketing and communication plans, and learning design and delivery solutions that differentiate the AAMC’s leadership programs as the leading resource of leadership development for its members.
How will you make an impact?
Strategic Planning:
Articulate the vision and strategy for a major product line in the AAMC’s leadership development portfolio.
Drive the development and growth of a suite of leadership programs targeted for faculty, professional staff and/or medical students and residents working in academic medical centers.
Partner with the business development team to develop strategies and plans for expansion of leadership development offerings and to identify, develop and realize revenue opportunities within the leadership development portfolio.
Lead the proposal development, scoping and implementation of new programs as well as re-tool current offerings to align with the overall leadership development strategy.
Develop strategies for re-inventing the delivery of learning content in ways that differentiate the AAMC as the leading source of leadership development for its members.
Provide thought leadership to the team and organization on leadership and program management.
Portfolio Management:
Establish annual goals and targets for a major product line in the AAMC leadership development portfolio.
Oversee the entire program lifecycle from development through evaluation and refinement. Emphasis on continuous improvement and program sustainability as well as succession planning.
Create, evolve, and deliver a portfolio of leadership programs, in various modalities, tailored for faculty, staff, and learners at the university and executive level.
Manage all aspects of a suite of leadership programs including staffing, oversight of project teams, learning design and development work, faculty relationships, quality assurance and continuous improvement.
Determine the prioritization and rollout schedule for the development, revision, and maintenance of a suite of leadership programs.
Oversee planning, budgeting, problem-solving, and marketing efforts to ensure program success and financial goals are met.
