This position is eligible for a flexible work schedule arrangement at the present time. The arrangement may be delayed for training or other job acclimation purposes and remains subject to change. 

Your Responsibilities

 

As a Project Leader, Technical Information Development for Intelligent Solutions Group located in Urbandale, Iowa, you will:

 

  • Gather project requirements through collaboration with product line Technical Information Specialist and key stakeholders (customer support planners, customer support engineers, engineering, supply management, accounting) to develop and execute project plans meeting schedule, quality, resource, and budget needs.
  • Develop and execute communication plans including tracking and communicating project status to stakeholders, key project participants, and Enterprise Technical Information Development (ETID) leadership.
  • Identify and facilitate work with appropriate authoring resources (internal and external) based on work complexity, skills, and expertise. Reconcile actual project expenses against estimates to enhance future budget forecasting activities.
  • Provide process training for authoring resources (internal and external) and key stakeholders. Encourage open communication and collaboration across key stakeholder, authoring and ETID resources.
  • Lead and support innovation special projects, including standards development, supporting continuous improvement and Lifecycle Support. 
  • Provide mentoring to less senior team members.

What Skills You Need

 

  • 2 or more years of project management experience
  • 1 or more experience working with different business functions such as: accounting, engineering, quality, manufacturing, distribution, supply management, marketing, HR, IT, customer support, and product support.
  • Experience in developing and executing budgets
  • Ability and willingness to work a flexible schedule (early morning/evening) when necessary to support global business needs
  • Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally, up to 25%

 

What Makes You Stand Out

 

  • Experience in developing and executing communication plans
  • 1 or more years of project management experience with global team members
  • 2 or more years of project management experience using external supplier resources/workforce to complete work.
  • 1 or more Project Management Certifications such as Certified associate in project management (CAPM), Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Project Manager (CPM), Master Project Manager (MPM), Professional in Project Management (PPM), or equivalent.
  • 1 or more years working in an Agile methodology environment
  • 1 or more years using Agile tools such as Rally, Jira, or equivalent 

 

Education

 

Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree in education, business management, engineering/technology, agricultural sciences or marketing or equivalent related work experience
