Your journey starts now—protect and innovate with ManTech!ManTech seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Lead Senior Systems Engineer to join our team in Dahlgren, VA. The position is onsite.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Monitor feedback from the fleet and provides support that ranges from simple to complex joint troubleshooting efforts.
Experience with AEGIS weapon system software installations in support of the Navy Modernization Program and critical milestones.
Provide Technical Assistance for at-sea test events accessing the level of technical and operational support required
Work directly with the Integrated Warfare Systems (IWS) Office and Fleet Commanders for all NSWCDD for Aegis Computer Programs while identifying the adequate technical support required
Interface with Aegis program representatives from OPNAV, NAVSEA, Fleet Commands, ISEAs, NSWCPHD, Prime Contractors, etc.
Experience with AEGIS weapon system software installations in support of the Navy Modernization Program and critical milestones.
Develop Fielding Plans for Aegis/BMD computer program updates and risks
Submit and track requests for Aegis/BMD computer program alterations using the defined process
Represent NSWCDD Aegis In-service concerns at conferences and meetings at the Senior executive level
Present, develop and maintain presentations used during Fleet Support briefings
Coordinate with the Fleet to schedule complex computer program deliveries and installs
Support AWS computer program installations onboard ships for integration and system readiness issues.
Up to 30% travel, both CONUS and OCONUS.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or another associated discipline or 8 years Fleet experience can be substituted for a degree
15+ years US NAVY support Fleet operations experience with the Navy’s AEGIS / BMD Combat/Weapons System.
Preferred Qualifications:
Technical background leading fleet-wide Aegis baseline installations
Experience as the Aegis LSEA On-Site Installation Coordinator (OSIC)
Clearance Requirements:
Must be a US Citizen and have an active Secret clearance.
