POSITION:
LECTURER IN Criminal Justice: The Department of Criminal Justice invites
applications for a temporary lecturer appointment. Candidates selected will teach one or more courses in Criminal Justice. This position is contingent upon unstaffed sections and the availability of authorized funding.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
MA in Criminal Justice (or closely related field), or a J.D. Evidence of successful college or university level teaching experience.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Ph.D. in Criminal Justice (or closely related field). Demonstrated excellence teaching upper-division courses in Criminal Justice at the university level.

COMPENSATION:
Commensurate with qualifications and experience. As a member of the 23-campus CSU System, we offer an extremely competitive benefits package.
Newly hired lecturers with terminal degrees are placed in Range 3 of the salary schedule and others are normally placed in Range 2. Starting salaries are usually at or near the minimum of the range. The full-time (15 units per semester) monthly base salaries indicated in the schedules are prorated based on the number of units assigned and are paid in six monthly payments for each full semester. The Department of Criminal Justice offers BA and MA degrees in Criminal Justice. Our faculty have a wide range of disciplinary backgrounds and research interests, including considerable interest in international issues, and our students are offered five distinct concentrations.
