Senior Accountant

Nordic Semiconductor is Europe's leading semiconductor company, listed on the Oslo Stock Exchange. We are a global organization with around 1400 employees in 21 different countries, including around 300 in Finland.

We are now looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our Finance team in Oulu. In this role, you will be co-responsible for the Finnish entity’s accounting and 3–4 additional smaller subsidiaries. You will work as part of our global finance function and actively contribute to the development of group-wide accounting processes.

As a Senior Accountant, you will manage the financial records and transactions of the company, ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, and deliver accurate financial reporting and analysis to senior management.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily accounting operations including accounts payable, receivable, and general ledger
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal company policies
• Shared accounting responsibility for the Finnish entity
• Handle accounting for 3–4 smaller group subsidiaries (e.g. Sweden)
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, reports, and budgets for senior management
• Liaise with Finnish tax authorities and handle tax matters
• Support and guide team members when needed
• Proactively develop and automate financial processes
• Collaborate with global finance and HR teams across countries

Key Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a large company or corporate group
• Relevant education (e.g. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or similar)
• Experience with tax reporting, audits, month-end closing, and statutory accounts
• Familiarity with Dynamics D365FO is a plus
• IFRS knowledge is considered an advantage
• Solid technical understanding and ability to utilize digital tools for process automation
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Finnish and English
