Staff Platform Engineer

About the Role

We're hiring a Platform Engineer who thrives at the intersection of infrastructure and developer experience. We're looking for someone who can build rock-solid internal platforms and developer tools to power the next generation of agentic AI systems.

You might be a former technical founder, an open source maintainer, or an infra generalist with a passion for building systems that other engineers love. You care deeply about performance, reliability, and empowering teams — and you’re not afraid to rethink the stack when the situation calls for it.

This role isn’t about shipping features for end users — it’s about enabling other builders to do their best work. You'll play a key role in shaping how we build, scale, and open-source our developer platform.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and scale developer platforms that are secure, performant, and easy to use

• Contribute to or lead the development of open source tools and infrastructure components

• Partner with research and product teams to enable rapid prototyping and experimentation

• Identify bottlenecks across our dev stack and create systems that multiply team velocity

• You’ve been a staff engineer or infra/platform lead at a fast-moving company

• You’ve built tools used by other developers — internally or in open source — and care about craft and usability
