SQL Database Administrator (TS/SCI required)

IT Concepts is looking for an experienced SQL Database Administrator to support our Intelligence customer. The SQL Database Administrator is responsible for Day-to-Day management of SQL Servers and databases. The DBA should be skilled in the design, setup, installation, configuration, monitoring, maintaining, and optimizing of MS SQL Server Databases. This includes backup and recovery. In addition to expert knowledge of MS SQL Server, SSIS, Stored Procedures, triggers, SSDT/Data Tools, table indexing/locking, and data access optimization techniques Proficiency in SQL query optimization and performance tuning techniques will be needed on the job. Solid understanding of database security principles and best practices will be needed at this agency. You will need to assess appropriate technology solutions and implementing them. Monitor and troubleshoot database issues, such as performance bottlenecks, errors, and data inconsistencies as well as post-implementation support and upgrades. You will work closely with Developers, Architects, Data team members and the government client.

Location: this position is on-site at either Reston, VA or JBAB, DC.

Requirements

• Master's Degree + 10 yrs of experience (Or Bachelor's + 13 yrs)
• Expert knowledge of MS SQL Server and SSIS
• Proficiency in SQL query optimization and performance tuning techniques.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
• Security + certification
• Microsoft DBA certifications a plus

Clearance:

• Required to have an active DOD TS/SCI to apply, and willing/able to get CI polygraph.
