We are a group of exceptional lodges bordering Yosemite National Park, near granite peaks, fresh mountain air, and some of the most iconic views in the world. We’re looking for an Assistant Guided Recreation Manager who is excited about providing memorable hospitality experiences and helping support a fun and rewarding work environment.

WHAT YOU WILL DO (JOB SUMMARY)
We are looking for a warm, friendly individual with high standards who enjoys helping people and providing exceptional guest service for guests and employees alike. Ideal candidates have been top performers in their previous roles and are excited to help make a place like the Lodge even more special and memorable for our guests. Ideal candidates will also have extensive in-person customer service and front desk/reservations experience. Having a background in Outdoor Experiential Education and Wilderness Medicine is preferred. We welcome career-oriented candidates.

QualificationsKEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide our guests with respect, compassion, and the best in service
Excellent written, verbal, and computer skills
Assist guest with requests and/or complaints after regular office hours
Provides direction and oversight to Naturalist Guides
Ensure Naturalist Guides maintain cleanliness standards for tour vehicles
Works to maintain tour vehicle and equipment
Stocks and cleans guide supply area
Participate in department strategy discussions and determination of goals and priorities
Uses best judgement and follows Recreation Emergency Action Plan in absence of Recreation Manager
Maintains guest relations by providing information to visitors and arranging guided and unguided recreation activities
Works with Front Desk and Assistant Front Desk Manager to maintain cleanliness in Recreation Areas
Complete department/shift checklists and/or reports
Communicate professionally at all times with all staff and management
Support team members and interns while fostering a positive work environment
Work safely, address/report safety issues, and use proper personal protective equipment
Comply with work shift schedules and break requirements
Perform other duties as assigned, including additional lodge support as needed
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or GED; college degree a plus
Minimum one-year prior work experience in Front Desk or other customer service; hospitality leadership preferred
Experience successfully living/working in rural/remote environment preferred
Must possess a valid and clear driver’s license
Must pass a mandatory pre-employment and random Drug and Alcohol screenings
COMPETENCIES/REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Strong guest service and hospitality focus
Prior front desk/reservations or similar experience
Prior experience with Property Management Systems
Ability to establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with objectives without supervision
Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
Reliable, dependable and punctual
Works well as part of a team and supports others
Detail-oriented with good organizational skills
Follows company policies, procedures and safety standards
Adheres to food handling and sanitation requirements
