POSITION SPECIFICS
The Residence Life Office is looking for a dynamic and energetic individual to join the team!
This is a 12-month live-on appointment.
The Live-In Assistant Director of Residence Life is a vital part of the team, helping to continue the department's vision and mission. They are responsible to the Director of Student Affairs for supervising up to 2 professional staff members and overseeing the daily activities of buildings housing up to 250 students.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Directing, supervising, and administering the student personnel and residence life functions for a residential community
Oversee and facilitate the Code of Conduct process through educating students on residence hall and university policies and serving as a hearing officer for on-campus discipline cases
Professional staff supervision and development
Manage crises and serve in on-call rotation
Program development and coordination
Policy development and implementation
Professional and paraprofessional staff selection and training
Budget development and oversight
Collaborate with various offices to ensure each resident is receiving a high-quality living experience
Represent residence life in student affairs, campus, and/or system-wide committees, as appropriate
Serve as primary contact between campus residence life and Central residence life offices
Should possess a thorough understanding of the role and purpose of residence hall living as it applies to student development
MINIMUM EDUCATION, WORK EXPERIENCE & REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS
Master's Degree 3+ years of relevant experience Required Certifications: None
