Commercial Business Manager - Decatur, IL

Position Summary:
Reporting to the President of Animal Nutrition for North America this position is responsible for US Premix P&L. This position, located at either our Dectur, IL or Chicago, IL headquarters is responsible for optimizing the returns of our premix business in the United States.  Aligning and driving the regional strategy through collaboration between a wide range of global and regional teams ensuring profitable long term growth objectives are met.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for P&L results of US premix assets.
  • Manage margin and price structures to maximize returns while working closely with procurement, formulations, production, and sales.
  • Oversee go to market approach in the competitive premix market to optimize asset returns and drive growth. Developing a deep understanding of the customers and market dynamics to drive growth of our premixes portfolio.
  • Work closely with operations, quality, safety, procurement and supply chain.
  • Monitor competitive market activity by gathering information form regional and global teams, adjusting commercial strategies for NA accordingly.
  • Project management, drive growth and capex projects while working closely with production, sales, and global strategy teams.
  • Identify and pursue strategic growth opportunities including but not limited to organic growth and acquisitions or partnerships. Coordinating with regional and global management teams.
  • Prepare and develop reports to communicate with internal management as well as external presentations.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience or equivalent.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Economics, Agriculture , or Nutrition.
  • Master’s Degree in these fields would be preferred.
  • Strong commercial and strategic acumen.
  • Ability to multitask and communicate with colleagues at all levels.
  • Ability to prepare and maintain annual business plans including financial targets.
  • Continue learnings and better understanding ADM portfolio of products and offerings. 
  • Possess strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Strong ability to work in a collaborative environment.
  • Have excellent oral and written communication skills.
  •  Working computer knowledge - Microsoft Word and Excel is required.

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Hourly and salaried non-exempt employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours.

If hired, employees will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base pay (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

The pay range for this position is expected to be between:

$120,800.00 - $223,900.00

Salaried Incentive Plan

The total compensation package for this position will also include annual bonus and a long-term incentive plan
