About the role

What You Can Expect

As the Head of Retail Power Portfolio Management, you will grow and lead a group of 20+ individuals in charge of maximizing the profitability of Retail contracts while managing market risks within acceptable risk limits and ensuring optimal netting with ENGIE North America’s asset portfolio.

 

  • Lead a high-performing team of 20+ professionals managing a growing portfolio of Commercial & Industrial (C&I) Retail Power contracts accounting for 40TWh+/year of electricity delivery across 13 US states
  • Design and execute a comprehensive hedging strategy for managing market risks linked to ENGIE’s C&I Retail Power activity, taking into account the various optionalities embedded in the portfolio
  • Develop and implement processes to ensure costing parameters and methodologies used for pricing new C&I client deals are as accurate, competitive, and aligned with market trends
  • Collaborate with the Risk and IT teams to advance the development of risk metrics, ensuring accurate representation of contracts and existing hedges within the risk management systems
  • Partner with the Portfolio Management group overseeing Renewable and Battery assets to identify synergies, maximize netting opportunities, and enhance the overall profitability of ENGIE North America’s portfolio

 

 

 

What You’ll Bring 

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, Economics, or Mathematics)
  • Minimum 5 years of trading or portfolio management experience in competitive energy markets
  • Minimum 15 years of overall business experience, with a proven track record of leading high-performing teams in complex, fast-paced environments
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple competing priorities while maintaining a focus on results and team empowerment
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to effectively engage with senior leadership, cross-functional teams, and external stakeholders
  • Familiarity with regulatory frameworks and market structures impacting C&I Retail Power

 

 

Additional Details

  • This role is eligible for our hybrid work policy; minimum of 3 days working in the office
  • Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies

 

Compensation

Salary Range: $201,600 – $309,120 USD annually

 

This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.

 

ENGIE complies with all federal, state, and local minimum wage laws. Actual salary offered may vary depending on geography, experience, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors. 

 

In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for a competitive bonus / incentive plan.
