The Role:

BCW’s Corporate Affairs practice is looking for a Senior Account Executive to join our New York team. This person will be a creative thinker and collaborative team player who can drive the execution of campaigns, get earned media results, and effectively manage projects for a variety of corporate clients. Candidates should have experience with supporting integrated communications programs.

You will be serving as one of the daily points-of-contact and counsel for traditional PR and digital media programs. This is an opportunity to combine creative and strategic execution for campaigns across multiple platforms for high-profile brands and have an impact on the culture of our growing New York corporate team.

What is the work?

• Media and Content (traditional, digital, social) key message development and campaign management
• Development of written content including bylines and news releases
• Creation and review of media materials (e.g. pitch letters, news releases, backgrounders, fact sheets, bios, newsletters)
• Bringing fresh thinking to earned media strategy and brand storytelling to deliver coverage results
• Managing projects on account teams, communicating across levels and geographies
• Partnering with Client and other communications firms to develop and complete integrated communications plans
• Contributing to program development for Clients as well as researching, designing, developing, implementing and managing routine client projects
• Managing day-to-day client activities, projects, and team member workstreams
• Building trusted adviser relationship with clients
• Providing strategic counsel to clients and key internal stakeholders
• Contributing new ideas as they relate to client objectives and brings them to life in presentations and written proposals
• Serving as point-of-contact for reporters, representing the Client brand in press releases and timely response to media inquiries
• Managing project financials; client budgets, team capacity planning and vendor management
• Assisting senior leaders in proposal writing and new business pitching and requests for proposals

Experience that contributes to your success:

• 3-6 years of work experience in the Public Relations field
• Excellent writing and editing skills
• Expertise in integrated media relations programs with established relationships with local, trade and national press outlets
• Ability to understand complexities of audiences and nuancing strategy, messaging and tactics for each
• Experience with influencer relations
• Advanced presentation skills, strong and persuasive communicator
• Strong project management skills
