Job Description
Purpose
To serve as executive liaison between functions and key national managed care organizations including: Health Plans, Pharmacy Benefit Managers (PBMs), Specialty Pharmacy, Medicaid, Federal Government and Long Term Care, and manage overall business relationship for AbbVie US Commercial.
Responsibilities
Perform all aspects of total account management for National Health Plans, Pharmacy Benefit Managers (PBMs), Group Purchasing Organizations (GPOs), Long Term Care and Federal customers to include; formulary access and positioning, rebate and discount contracting, pull-through sales execution, data agreements, persistency and compliance programs, relationship building and maximization of resource utilization.
- Offer internal consulting regarding managed care issues and their potential impact on business and stay abreast of policy initiatives designed to impact US Commercial Disease areas.
- Manage timely and accurate communication flow throughout the organization.
- Work with Pricing Dept and GM / Director, National / Government Accounts to develop Divisional-contracting strategies.
- Seek business development opportunities within client accounts for US Commercial Products.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- 7 – 8 years of combined experience in Sales, Sales Management, Account Management including Managed Care experience.
- An essential requirement of your position is to satisfy all applicable health care industry representative (HCIR) credentialing requirements to gain and maintain entry into facilities and organizations that are in your assigned territory. You must also be in good standing and/or eligible to obtain these credentials.
