The team at Coffee Creek Correctional Facility is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Facility Maintenance Specialist to join our Physical Plant team.
About the Job – Your Role
Our physical plant team plays a crucial role in ensuring our facilities are safe, functional, and well maintained. In this role you will be responsible for coordinating, instructing, and training skilled, semiskilled, and unskilled Adults in Custody (AIC) in the operation, maintenance, and repair of physical plant systems, equipment, and building structures within the institution.
You will supervise AIC work crews in custodial duties, ensuring cleanliness by overseeing trash collection, sanitation, floor maintenance, and the correct use of cleaning chemicals and equipment. You will also manage hazardous materials handling, training AIC in bloodborne pathogen procedures and the proper cleanup of biohazards while maintaining appropriate safety measures.
