Job Description

Waco’s Technical Development Program (TDP) is a local three-year rotational leadership development program. Throughout the three diverse and challenging twelve-month rotations, the TDP members will develop exceptional functional and leadership traits by working on a wide range of projects while providing exposure to different leaders at the site. The incumbents will combine technical and business knowledge with analytical strength and creative problem-solving abilities.    

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • TDP member will spend three years as a full-time salary employee in the program, completing three separate professional work assignments geared towards the following potential opportunities:
    - Engineering
    - Manufacturing
    - Quality
    - Science & Technology
    - Purchasing and Supplier Management
    - Supply Chain
  • Be a regular full-time AbbVie’s employee and qualify for the same competitive salary and benefits as other AbbVie employees.
  • Develop a well-rounded skill set through each of the TDP’s assignments.
  • Obtain training customized to support the TDP’s individual growth and development.
  • Report to a department manager in each assignment who will oversee the day-to-day responsibilities.
  • Receive leadership training in collaboration with other functional development programs once a year.
  • Conform to EH&S management system requirements and compliance obligations, promote continuous improvement, and consider EH&S aspects during the design and change process. Comply with all EHS procedures and policies including incident reporting, use of PPE, waste management and disposal, and any other program applicable according to the position duties.
