JOB TITLE: Data Analysis and Modeling Manager
JOB DUTIES: Establish, monitor and manage Long Term Care (LTC) assumptions for purposes of reserves, reserve adequacy testing and premium rate increases for the Individual and Group businesses. Develop statistical models to review and analyze emerging trends related to the LTC insurance. Help explain variances and provide input to update models forecasting policy holder behavior. Maintain and enhance tools used to support models. Recommend and drive analytics improvements where needed. Communicate results of studies to senior leaders and LTC actuarial teammates. Assist with reporting of key metrics using SAS, Python, SQL, PowerBI and other tools. Ensure compliance with Genworth governance and proper execution of controls and technical reviews. Conduct peer reviews of assumption development work. Provide ad hoc analytical support for strategic initiatives and internal/external customer requests. Collaborate with teammates on special projects.
SALARY: $166,566.00 per year
WORK SCHEDULE: Full-time, 40 hours/week, Mon – Fri 8:00 am to 5:00 pm

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Position requires a Bachelor’s* degree, or foreign equivalent, in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field, and eight (8) years of experience in the job offered, or as an Actuarial Analyst, Data Analyst, Senior Manager or Consultant or related. *Employer will accept two years of experience in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree. Full term of experience must include each of the following: Actuarial processes, including valuation, projections, experience and pricing; Statistical modeling; Programming in SAS, Python, SQL, PowerBI and VBA; Life insurance policyholder behavior and industry studies.
