KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE SENIOR COORDINATOR, COMMUNICATIONS & MEMBER ENGAGEMENT
EEI is looking to add a bright, resourceful, and organized Senior Coordinator, Communications & Member Engagement to our Communications & Member Engagement team. In this role, the individual will be responsible for independently managing and providing comprehensive high-level support for key EEI events and meetings, including the quarterly Board of Directors and CEO meetings, EEI’s annual meeting and thought leadership conference, the Legal and Government Affairs conferences, and the annual Communications Workshop, among others.
Additionally, in this role, the individual will be responsible for drafting and sending communication regarding these events to relevant internal and external stakeholders and will support EEI’s communications team with research, writing/content creation, editing, and proofreading.
Other important responsibilities of the Senior Coordinator, Communications & Member Engagement include:
- Tracking of team projects and assistance with cross-team coordination; scheduling of meetings and calls of the communications EAC; maintaining EEI’s calendar of events; writing and reviewing draft materials; and assisting the team with various projects related to event preparations, shared mailboxes, award programs, member company research, committee updates, corporate gifts, etc.
- Helping meetings and events team with managing, planning, and coordinating EEI events, including EEI’s legal and government affairs conferences, working with staff across departments to execute meeting logistics, assist with agenda and program development, manage registration process, and fulfill sponsorships, all while adhering to budgets and member requirements.
- Help to manage and monitor all aspects of the Communications & Member Engagement budget. Create new purchase orders, process and track invoices and payments, and work with legal to ensure that contracts and the necessary vendor paperwork are provided.
- Assist with the development, tracking, and collection of Associate member dues and provide support to this program as needed.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree is not required but is strongly preferred. A minimum of 3-5 years with relevant industry experience is required, preferably in an association.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong administrative and organizational skills with the ability to be proactive in completing assignments and job responsibilities.
- Ability to interact with staff and external stakeholders in a professional, customer-focused manner.
- Ability to coordinate multiple projects and effectively prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Offic
