This is a full-time summer internship role based in New York, NY. At LinkedIn, our approach to flexible work is centered on trust and optimized for culture, connection, clarity, and the evolving needs of our business. The work location of this role is hybrid, meaning it will be performed both from home and from a LinkedIn office on select days, as determined by the business needs of the team.
As a Sales Operations MBA Intern, you will act as an adviser to executives in the global sales development and operations teams. You will be responsible for cracking the most important strategic issues facing our acquisition business and running normal operational reporting.
Responsibilities:
Lead projects with key stakeholders and cross-functional partners to make data-driven decisions on topics including: sales incentive design, forecast modeling, territory optimization, product mix analysis and process improvement
Gather requirements and project manage changes to our processes and sales technology that result in improvements in sales rep productivity
Gain management confidence in work so that the insights you produce are utilized in executive and board-level presentations
Establish strong working relationships with business operations, sales management and systems teams to achieve objectives without management involvement
Partner with sales executives on all operational and strategic requests
Play a vital role in driving our annual strategic planning process through data-driven recommendations
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
Currently enrolled in an MBA program and returning to school the term following your summer internship.
BA/BS degree in field with analytical focus, such as Economics, Engineering, Business Administration, Statistics, Mathematics, Physics
2+ years of experience in management consulting, sales operations or investment banking
1+ years of experience working in the media industry or in sales organizations
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with financial modeling and data analysis
Experience with Salesforce.com, SQL/relational databases, Hadoop and reporting tools like Tableau
Expert knowledge of MS Office especially Excel and PowerPoint
Excellent communication, project and time management, writing and presentation skills with the ability to confidently interact with senior management
Ability to see beyond the numbers to drive sound decision making
Ability to effectively manage time, prioritize tasks and work within deadlines with little supervision
Ability to work in a fast-paced, startup environment

The pay range for this role is $45 to $60 USD per hour. Actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years & depth of experience, certifications and specific office location. This may differ in other locations due to cost of labor considerations.
