What will you be doing?
We are currently seeking a Director of Product Design to lead our Enterprise Design System and create brand-defining software experiences. This position will report to the VP of Product Design/UX.
Job Responsibilities
- Design intuitive software solutions and exquisite data-driven insights that empower our clients to achieve and exceed their strategic goals.
- Evangelize human-centered methodologies across the product organization to ensure innovative designs that truly meet people’s needs from first-time users to seasoned experts.
- Work closely with product teams to launch new features and evolve existing ones based on an understanding of user needs, business objectives, roadmaps, and technical constraints.
- Lead the creation and expansion of our Enterprise Design System by planning, cleaning, and re-structuring our Figma libraries so they’re complete and easy to use. Create documentation for defining component usage, patterns, anti-patterns, and visual layouts that enables product managers, designers, and engineers to get the most out of the system. Help forecast and report the ROI for the Design System.
Requirements
- Experience as lead or senior designer with 6 to 8+ years in a product design role, bachelor’s and/or master’s degree in the study of user experience, design, research or related fields or equivalent professional experience. - (portfolio should include wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, and interactive prototypes for both mobile and web user experiences)
- 2+ years of work experience designing for design systems - (portfolio should include component design and documentation)
- 1+ years of work experience designing data visualizations. (portfolio should include examples)
- Expert in user-centered design and rapid iteration processes like Lean UX, Design Sprints, and Agile methodologies.
- High degree of craft, taste, and product intuition, with a keen eye towards future trends and emerging technology.
- Ability to thrive in ambiguity with a bias towards action with the ability to adapt to changing, fast-paced environment.
- Expert with Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD.
