The Role

Shamrock is seeking a business-minded Chief of Staff/In-House Attorney to serve as a trusted advisor to the Executive Director. This hybrid role blends corporate legal counsel with executive-level operational leadership — ideal for an attorney who wants to shape business strategy, not just support it. 

The Executive Director oversees Shamrock Roofing, Trussi.ai, and a single-family office. This role serves as a force multiplier across all three — think Pepper Potts: brilliant, unflappable, three steps ahead, trusted with everything. 

What You'll Own

Executive & Strategic Support 

• Anticipate the Executive Director’s needs, protect the calendar, and ensure full preparation for every meeting and negotiation. 
• Serve as a strategic thought partner — pressure-test decisions and play the long game.
• Prepare the Executive Director fully for every meeting, speaking engagement, and negotiation: briefing docs, talking points, and polished presentations ready in advance 
• Act as gatekeeper and proxy with discretion and authority. 

Company Coordination 

• Serve as the connective tissue between the Executive Director and the Presidents of Shamrock Roofing and Trussi.ai. 
• Translate priorities into action and keep both leadership teams aligned. 

Financial & Legal Oversight 

• Track financial requirements across both companies and the family office. 
• Manage contracts, review agreements, and flag legal and financial risk. 

Family Office & Personal Operations 

• Coordinate household, family logistics, and personal commitments with the same rigor as business operations. 
• Manage vendors, staff, and personal obligations so business demands don't crowd out personal life. 

Compensation: 

• Full-time salaried position, $85,000-$120,000 annually based on experience
• On-site position in Overland Park, KS
• Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance available after 30 days of employment
• PTO accrual begins after 30 days of employment
• 401(k) eligibility after 6 months of employment

Requirements

What You Bring 

• A law degree (JD) strongly preferred — even 1–2 years of legal study/experience — for contract fluency and risk-spotting.
• Proven experience supporting a senior executive, founder, or principal (Chief of Staff, EA to C-suite, or family office background ideal)
• Genuine strategic horsepower — you don't just execute, you think.
• Elite organization and project management; nothing falls through the cracks.
• Absolute discretion and trustworthiness with confidential financial, legal, and personal matters.
• Calm under pressure, comfortable with ambiguity, and able to make sound calls in my absence.
• Strong writing and presentation skills (PowerPoint/Keynote/Canva fluency a plus).
• Comfort operating across very different worlds — roofing, AI, and ultra-high-net-worth family life.
• Based in or willing to relocate to the Kansas City metro area.
