Property Energy Surveyor

 

Worcester based with a balance of home and office working

 

£34,973 - £36,814 per year plus Company Car

 

35 hours per week

 

We have a great opportunity for a Property Energy Surveyor to join our expanding team based in Worcester, covering North, North West and Rochford. This position sits within the Property Services department, who are responsible for delivering high quality and cost-effective strategies to manage Sanctuary’s property portfolio. They advise on reinvestment programmes, stock condition surveys, and provide specialist surveyor input on a range of other matters to ensure that properties are maintained and retain their value. This role would suit an experienced/qualified building trades individual with the knowledge of energy in buildings /structures and with experience of surveying.

 

The role of Property Energy Surveyor will include:

  • Undertaking energy assessment surveys in line with organisational policies and procedures to ensure regulatory compliance and contract performance
  • Helping to identify required asset and energy efficiency improvements in line with business plans, ensuring that strategies and plans are developed and high quality services are delivered
  • Managing disrepair and environmental health cases which will enable you to suggest appropriate remedies and strategies to address any building relating issues
  • Attend consultant / contractor meetings
  • Liaise with tenant and contractor on progress of works
  • Check and validate post works invoices whilst liaising with other team members to ensure smooth running of the programme

 

Skills and experiences:

  • To ensure full compliance with Building Safety legislation, candidates applying for this role must be qualified in FDSC in Construction and the Built Environment, currently undertaking the qualification or prepared to undertake this qualification with the support of Sanctuary Group
  • Proven experience in working with others to deliver property related works, including indirect reports and third-party suppliers
  • Proficient user of Microsoft packages
  • This role will involve driving on company business. In order to drive a company vehicle, drivers must hold a full valid UK driving licence

As part of the interview process, candidates will be required to bring with them the original certification verifying proof of their qualifications. Copies and CSCS cards will not be accepted.

  • Role salary is £30,396 with an additional policy allowance of £4,577 per annum (rising to £31,995 with an additional policy allowance of £4,818per annum after 12 months, subject to satisfactory performance)
