About the role

The Front Counter Warehouse Technician is responsible for supporting daily warehouse operations while serving as the primary point of contact at the front counter. This role requires strong customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, remote North Slope environment.

Essential Duties & Job Functions:

  • Provide front counter support to employees, vendors, and clients in a professional and courteous manner
  • Issue, receive, and track materials, tools, and equipment
  • Maintain accurate inventory records using company systems
  • Assist with shipping and receiving, including inspecting incoming materials for accuracy and damage
  • Organize and maintain warehouse stock, ensuring cleanliness and order
  • Coordinate material requests and fulfill work orders in a timely manner
  • Communicate effectively with field personnel and procurement teams
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures
  • Assist with cycle counts and physical inventory audits
  • Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks (as required)

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
  • Basic computer skills, including inventory management systems and Microsoft Office
  • Ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive work ethic
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Understanding of warehouse operations, logistics, and inventory control
Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Must be 18 years old
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver license
  • NSTC card

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous North Slope experience strongly preferred
  • Experience working at a front counter or in a customer-facing warehouse role
  • Forklift certification (or ability to obtain)
  • Familiarity with oil & gas industry materials and operations

 

Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works on-site at the construction site where the employee is exposed to moving mechanical parts; high precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; outside weather conditions and risk of electrical shock.  The noise in these work environments is usually moderate to very loud.

Position may involve exposure to extremely hostile weather conditions at times while working outdoors.  This position may involve working with potentially hazardous materials and waste.

FCE LEVEL #3

  • MOBILITY: Must be able to access all controls and all parts of machinery for service.  Must be able to push/pull 50 pounds for 20 feet.
  • LIFTING: Must be able to routinely lift up to 50 pounds from floor to waist, 50 pounds from wait level to shoulder height and carry 50 pounds for 20 feet.
  • HEARING: Must be able to hear audible safety alarms.
  • VISUAL ACUITY: Must be adequate to perform above list
