Job Description

The Marketing Specialist, Competition Reality Development, is responsible for supporting NBCUniversal's Competition Reality team in the creation and execution of brand partnerships, which includes the development of sales marketing materials, ideation of creative solutions and proposals, execution of cross-platform activations and general project management.

This position reports to the Director within the Development, Competition Reality team.

Duties and Responsibilities:
 

DEVELOPMENT AND EXECUTION OF SALES MARKETING MATERIALS:

  • Support and contribute to the development of multi-platform sales materials including show one sheets, customized marketing opportunities, show clips, idea libraries, network rollouts, etc.
  • Assist on RFP and proactive marketing requests and marketing projects in execution by liaising with all appropriate internal groups including One Platform Marketing, Network Leads, Legal and Research, and creating concept write ups that reflect best in class opportunities
  • Attend and participate in team brainstorm meetings, to collaborate on designing innovative and compelling multi-platform brand programs – while gaining an understanding of NBCU's networks, programming and capabilities
  • Lead brainstorming meetings and influence the development of small to medium complexity opportunities such as digital and social first programs.

 

POST-SALE AND CAMPAIGN SUPPORT:

  • Independently manage small to medium complexity projects to flawless delivery including paid social campaigns and in-show billboards, play support role on medium to large complexity projects
  • Liaise with production on the tracking and coordination of branded products and materials and stay abreast of, and update when needed, production/approval timelines
  • Manage the post-sale process (recap presentations, clips, air checks and digital links and screenshots) to track program activation

 

MARKETPLACE INTEL + TEAM SUPPORT:

  • Assist in organizationally driven team support, i.e. create meeting agendas, distribute meeting recap notes, update tracking systems (Monday.com, OneNote status) of RFP and activations
  • Administer invoice process and work directly with Ad Sales Finance to manage client billing for show partnerships, manage overall show finance on development side
  • Administer contract development, such as Brand Integration Agreements, working with Legal and BA to facilitate
     

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent work experience
• 3+ years of experience in marketing or ad sales at agency, client, media or production company – or applicable internship experience
• Skilled in PowerPoint and other MS Office programs – Outlook/Word/Excel/SharePoint

• Willingness to work overtime
• Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States
