We are pleased to announce an opening for a Space Defense and International Programs Analyst who will join our Engineering Services Team in Colorado Springs, CO and become part of our rapidly growing technology company operating in missile defense, cybersecurity, test range modernization, and space control marketspaces. Qualified candidates will be part of an exceptional team supporting the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) mission to develop and deploy a layered Missile Defense System to defend the United States, its deployed forces, allies, and friends from missile attacks in all phases of flight.
Responsibilities:
Qualified candidates will be providing technical expertise in support of MDA Director for Engineering (DE) and MDA Chief Architect CAI as well as to USSPACECOM, US Space Force, and the warfighter. Candidate will perform international technical analysis support to include coordination with MDA Program Offices working future space programs, architectures, and modeling space-system effects.
Duties include:
- Provide expertise to the Missile Defeat Wargame campaign and special projects.
- Evaluate and facilitate MDA-USSPACECOM Future Concept and missile defense architecture development.
- Support Joint-Global Hypersonic Operational Sensor Tasking (J-GHOST) Joint Test initiative.
- Worth with the US-Japan Technical Support Group to improve space-based Overhead Persistent Infrared (OPIR) data sharing and cooperative development.
- Improve integration of allied sensors to broaden global sensor coverage.
Basic Qualifications:
At a minimum, qualified candidates must have:
- A bachelor’s degree in a technical field such as engineering, mathematics, physical sciences, or computer science.
- At least 10 years of full-time professional experience in a technical field related to missile defense and/or technical analysis of a complex Department of Defense (DoD) weapon system.
- Must be eligible to obtain or have an active SECRET clearance.
- Must be able to work at our customer site on Shriever Space Force Base near Colorado Springs, Colorado.
Lacking any one of these disqualifies any applicants from this job.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in STEM field
- At least 12 years of full time professional experience (or absent a technical Master's degree, at least 20 years of experience is preferred)
- Background with the Missile Defense Agency and/or other DoD Space Systems
- Works independently and/or leads sub-teams, applying engineering rigor to analyze and resolve problems.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills and MS Office automation tool proficiency.
