DEPARTMENT OVERVIEW:The Red Sox Foundation is one of the largest team charities in Major League Baseball, strategically using its platform to be a leading source of hope and positivity off the field in the areas of health, education and recreation. By coupling our year-round, direct-service programming with our grant-making initiatives and core partnerships, we utilize a unique model as a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization to effectively triple our impact in New England and Lee County, Florida. It is the passion of the best fans in baseball that make our work possible. POSITION OVERVIEW:The Manager of Giving and Partnerships is responsible for being the first point of contact for all internal & external inquiries for partnership with the Red Sox Foundation. They will manage various existing and potential community partnerships and all giving initiatives for the Red Sox Foundation to maintain the Foundation’s role as a philanthropic leader. They will also be tasked with migrating all giving initiatives into Salesforce, while growing and expanding the scope, impact and participation of those initiatives. This individual will be responsible for working collaboratively with the Executive Director, other Foundation staff, along with various other individuals and departments at the Boston Red Sox. They will be personable, dedicated and a communicative leader, while exhibiting exceptional data, tracking, organizational, strategic planning, processing and reporting skills. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Community Partnership Management:
  • Serve as the point of contact for the Red Sox Foundation for all internal and external partnership inquiries. Frequent informational and exploratory meetings with prospective community partners and/or grant recipients.
  • Donated Ticket Program:
  • Drive the strategy and distribution of all donated tickets throughout the regular and post-season to ensure a diversity of organizations receive access
  • Equitably distribute various other assets and resources in partnership with the Foundation’s Development Team, and Red Sox’s Ticket and STH departments. Ensure certificate redemption and consistent communications and tracking.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with community organizations
  • Support the Development team with Sponsor management and integration
  • Special Recognition Award:
  • Support Executive Director with the research, solicitation, proposal creation, reporting and communications with organizations and agencies that may align with the Foundation’s Special Recognition Award.
  • Board Grants:
  • Support Executive Director with the solicitation of organizations, and the strategic growth and internal tracking & reporting involved with the Foundation’s Board Grants initiative by reviewing, vetting and maintaining the efficient grant application process as well as vetting organizations and drafting proposals.
  • Charitable Giving: 
  • Serve as Chair of the Foundation’s Charitable Giving Committee and oversee the grant application and award processes by managing the committee comprised of Red Sox and Red Sox Foundation staff.
  • IMPACT Awards:
  • Serve as the primary liaison between the Foundation and the presenting sponsor of the IMPACT Awards and all the award recipients. Plan and execute all aspects of the program, including application creation, distribution, vetting, and communications, and all game-day ceremonies and events.
  • New England Service Scholarships:
  • Oversee the New England Service Scholarship program in partnership with the Programs and Development Teams to ensure the service-based scholarship program continues to grow and innovate. Plan and execute all aspects of the program, including application creation, distribution, vetting, and communications, and all game-day ceremonies and events.
  • Little League Stipends:
  • In partnership with the Programs Team, initiate, maintain and develop relationships with key Baseball and Softball leaders across New England to ensure the maximum distribution of stipends to qualifying Little Leagues in all 6 New England states and ensure sponsor benefits management and stewardship (with Development).
  • Core Partners:
  • Serve as liaison between the Foundation and the Foundation’s three core partners, in collaboration with the Foundation’s Development Team, as appropriate: the Dimock Center, Home Base Program and the Jimmy Fund. Specifically:
  • Support non-Run to Home Base events and opportunities, including donated tickets and suites and the annual Veterans Day lunch.
  • Support all Dimock-related events, including Holiday lunches, donation drives, Road to Wellness, donated tickets, volunteer opportunities and player visits.
