About the role

The School of Nursing and Health Sciences at Vermont State University, Department of Nursing, invites applications for a Part-Time teaching position on our Castleton campus for Spring 2025.  Interested applicants are encouraged to apply at any time throughout the semester. 

Clinical Instructor for Nursing- NUR 2055L-Health Assessment & Fundamentals 

Hourly position. 

This course will build upon previous nursing and liberal arts coursework to develop a foundation for nursing practice. Through a combination of classroom and clinical learning, the student will develop an understanding of the complex needs of the populations to be served. The student will learn the principles of the nursing process; person-centered and holistic care; communication; compassionate care; ethics; health promotion; identification and reduction of risk; basic elements of care and comfort; and quality and safety. Clinical content will allow the student to begin building their evidence-based foundation for future nursing practice through the learning and demonstration of basic nursing skills and assessment techniques.

Minimum Qualifications: 

Qualified candidates must possess a Master's degree in Nursing or related field. Teaching experience in secondary school or college is a plus. An active unencumbered Vermont RN licensure or eligibility for an unencumbered Vermont license required. A valid driver's license is required.

Salary:

Hourly- $45 holding a BSN if enrolled in an MSN program.  $50 hour holding an MSN.
